Shizuku

Privacy policy

Last updated 26 October 2026

The short version: Shizuku has no accounts, no ads and no tracking across other apps or websites. We count how the game is played, anonymously, so we can make it better. That's it.

This policy covers the game Shizuku: Raindrop Race on iPhone and Android ("Shizuku", "the game"), made by Cozy Uncle, an indie game dev studio ("we", "us").

What stays on your phone

Your settings, best scores, run history, achievements and whether you've bought the Dusk & Frost pack are saved on your device. We can't see them. Deleting the app deletes them.

Anonymous gameplay analytics

The game sends a small number of gameplay events to PostHog, our analytics provider, whose servers are in the United States. For example: a run started, a run ended (with its score, length and mode), a screen was opened, a challenge or achievement was completed, or a prompt was answered.

Each event comes with:

Like any internet request, the connection to PostHog carries your IP address, which PostHog may use to estimate a rough location such as the country. We don't create profiles, we don't link this data to you, and we never sell it or use it for advertising. We use it only to understand things like "do people play a second run?" and to find bugs.

Game Center and Google Play Games

If you're signed in to Game Center (iPhone) or Google Play Games (Android), your scores and achievements are sent to Apple or Google so they appear on leaderboards and in your profile. On Android, your progress is also kept as a Play Games saved game, so it comes back on a new phone. Apple and Google handle this under the Apple Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy. The game receives your player ID and nickname from them only to show the boards while you play. We don't store them or send them anywhere.

Purchases

The optional Dusk & Frost pack is bought through Apple (iPhone) or Google Play (Android). They handle payment; we never see your card or payment details. The game only learns whether the pack is yours.

Reminders

If you say yes to the daily reminder, the reminder is scheduled on your phone. There's no push server; nothing about it leaves your device. Turn it off in the game's Settings or in your phone's notification settings for Shizuku.

Children

Shizuku is fine for all ages and asks no one for personal information. The analytics above are anonymous and are not used to target anyone.

How long we keep data

Analytics events are kept for as long as they help us improve the game, and no longer than PostHog's own retention limits.

Deleting your data and your rights

Shizuku has no accounts, so there's no account to close. Deleting the app removes everything saved on your phone. Game Center and Google Play Games data is managed by Apple and Google under your account with them. Because our analytics are anonymous, we usually can't tell which events are yours, but if you ask, we'll delete everything we can match to you. The steps are on the support page, or email shizuku@cozyuncle.com. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have rights to access or delete personal data; we'll honour them.

Changes

If the game starts collecting anything new, we'll update this page and the date at the top before that version ships.
